Deciding on how you would like your garden design can be a difficult but exciting task; our team of specialist garden design consultants will be happy to discuss your current garden situation and any ideas you may have. You may have already decided to bring water to the garden, whether to attract wildlife or as a hobby or have a complete garden makeover. We can arrange for a full consultation with our landscape designer and landscaping consultant to gather as much information as possible to ensure we understand your needs, these can include; how you currently spend your time in your garden, the needs of your family, whether you entertain guests, your personal tastes and preferences, advice on plants and garden maintenance. You will have the opportunity to look through our extensive portfolio from the initial drawings to the completed projects. This will give you many ideas and can often help you decide on the detail that will ensure your design is bespoke for you. Our staff are experienced in soft and hard landscaping and below are some examples of what we can be build for you;
- Paths constructed using sleepers with either shingle or bark chip and maybe edged with a red brick.
- Terracing using upright timbers to create levels in the garden.
- Patios and paving using natural sandstone or travertine.
- Garden structures including bridges, gazebos, boardwalks and fencing.
- Decking overhanging ponds with a balustrade edging.
- Rock gardens.
- Turfing & planting.
- Land drainage & irrigation.
Site Survey & Analysis
We will take measurements of the garden, including; existing features and vegetation in order to a create a scaled plan. We will also test the soil for texture and pH and analyse the site for varying heights, different aspects, views and possible liabilities.
Drawings & Planting Layouts
Up to two concept plans will be created and a meeting arranged to present them. The aim of these drawings is to demonstrate two potential layouts, including paved areas, planting borders, water features or ponds, decking and garden structures such as gazebos. Materials and plant species are not identified at this stage; however this is the opportunity for you to decide on the different style and features that appeal to you the most before we commence the final plan. The final drawing provides a scaled layout labelling hardscape materials and general planting suggestions. This is a culmination of our experience and knowledge which turns your initial ideas and inspiration into reality. A lighting plan can also be provided if required.
Planting plans can be provided and include a number of different schemes clearly labelling the species name, sizes, placement and quantities. A descriptive plant list will also be attached to the plan.
